What Are Antioxidants?
Antioxidants are nutrients that help fight free radicals and assist in maintaining good health.† Free radicals are unstable compounds that can occur naturally in our bodies as by-products of metabolism. They can also be produced from things like pollution and car exhaust, smoking, and even the sun. Free radicals can contribute to oxidative stress, which in turn may contribute to the premature aging of cells.
Vitamins C & E are both antioxidants. Vitamin C is water soluble and Vitamin E is fat soluble. Vitamin E can also naturally be found on the outermost skin surface.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble nutrient found in some foods. In the body, it acts as an antioxidant, helping to fight against free radicals.† Free radicals can cause oxidative stress which may lead to cell damage.
The body also needs Vitamin C to make collagen, a protein required to help the formation of connective tissue which forms the basis for vibrant skin.† In addition, Vitamin C helps promote skin health.†
Most animals can produce their own supply of vitamin C but interestingly, humans cannot. It is believed by some scientists that humans lost the ability to produce Vitamin C many years ago because vitamin C containing fruits and vegetables were so abundant in nature. In today’s busy world, many of us do not consume as many fruits and vegetables as we should.
What Is Biotin?
Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin part of the B-Vitamin family. Water soluble vitamins are not readily stored in the body, therefore, they should be consumed every day. Our formula contains 5,000 mcg of biotin per serving. Biotin helps support skin, hair and nail health so you can look and feel your best.†
What Is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that is naturally found in the body, deep within the layers of the skin known as the dermis. Levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin may decrease with age.
What Is Argan Oil?
Argan oil is pressed from the Argania spinosa nut of the Argan tree, native to Morocco. While the oil is edible, it is much more widely recognized for its cosmetic purposes. Argan Oil also contains some fatty acids and as a cosmetic, it can be applied directly to hydrate and nourish the hair and skin.
DIRECTIONS: For adults, take three (3) softgels daily, preferably with a meal.
